Why It is Important to Purchase Essential Oils the correct way.

It is so important to buy essential oils from reputable companies and it is so important to study and get education about these oils.
Just because the company states that an oil is pure unless they supply GC reports to show the percentage of chemicals that are in each oil, you have no way of knowing if you are purchasing from a legitimate place.
Also if you have not studied the chemicals that are in each one of these oils you will have no idea if the oil is actually pure. Also the company which you purchase should have a good description of the oil and safe information on their website.
When you get formal education at an approved NAHA,AIA or IFPA school you are taught all about each oil and how to tell if the oil is pure or not.
This is so important because so many companies do not sell pure essential oil.
Those that use the marketing word “therapeutic” is just that a marketing word.  All pure essential oils are therapeutic.
Here is a good example. There is a company selling Rose Essential Oil – 10 ml for $7.99.  Rose Essential Oil at this price cannot be real and pure.  It takes a sizable number of rose petals to make this oil. Roses are very delicate flowers and great care is taken to produce the oil.
Normally a 10ml bottle can cost anywhere from $40 all the way up to $400 depending on where the roses came from and the process that was used to extract the oil. So getting it for $7.99 something is definitely wrong.

Jasmine Essential Oil is another very expensive oil. Seeing it at any store for $7.55 something is very wrong with this oil. Normally a 10ml bottle will sell for $100 or more. They are also extracted from white delicate flowers and again great care is taken extracting the essential oil.

I recently came upon a company that sells these two oils at a ridiculous price as you see below in these pictures.  And on their website they give unsafe usage of essential oils.  This is not a website you want to go to. There are so many good companies you can go to that sell pure essential oils. I will give you a few that I use.
Plant Therapy, Nature’s Gift, Appalachian Natural Products, Miracle Botanic, and Eden Botanic, just to name a few.

Thank you! Also some companies posts test results that are not current or show lot numbers. I wonder if they just copy them from other companies websites and post them on theirs. So sad but learning the red flags really helped me when I started using oils. Only got a few bad oils from shady sites. Biggest thing I ran across was trying to convince a group that there is no such thing as lilac essential oil and tried to get them to understand fragrance oils marked as essential oil is all over the internet.

I totally agree this is why it is so important to get educated about these oils. Thank you for the good comment

Thank you, RBK. Your efforts on behalf of legitimate Essential Oil e-commerce sites is appreciated.
- I sometimes stumble into using the word "therapeutic" in my descriptions. However, I agree it is not an appropriate point of differentiation in that all pure essential oils are therapeutic. EO Multi-Level Marketing companies began using this the word "therapeutic" to justify the high prices they charge for all of their oils.
- Essential Oil Users should be comfortable in requesting a Certificate of Analysis from their Supplier. However, that CofA should be for a specific distillation.
- I would suggest that a User should expect their Supplier to be responsive to inquiries and requests, even to the extent of answering a phone call.

Again, thank you!
